Step Inside: A First Look at the Renovated OKC Zoo Entry Plaza

The barricades are gone and the Entry Plaza at the Oklahoma City Zoo is once again open to guests after the completion of a two-month renovation project.

Gone is the worn and cracked tile that became slippery when even the slightest bit wet. The new entry plaza flooring is a heavier, more durable ceramic paver stone, which, unlike the previous tile, is intended for all purpose weather.

In addition to the new ceramic paver stone, guests will notice planters on the east and west sides of the plaza were removed. This provides better access to and flow between the Safari Gift Shop and Café, Guest Experience, ZOOfriends Membership Entrance and the Amenities/Rental Station.

Come visit the Oklahoma City Zoo Entry Plaza today! Zoo admission is not required to access the plaza.
