Immerse yourself in tales of the wild life all around you as our knowledgeable Zoo ambassadors lead you through unforgettable, themed walking tours throughout the Zoo on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays! Priced at only $4 for adults and $2 for children per tour, the Zoo’s newest one-hour guest experience offers four distinct themed tours full of fun, adventure and excitement.
First, Pick Your Tour!
Cram all the fun of all four tours into a full day of exploration or spread out your safaris with just one or two per Zoo visit. You decide!
1. The Secret Treasure Tour discovers the pachyderm, Island Life and Herpetarium habitats, 10 – 11 a.m.
2. The Aquatic Tour features the sights and sounds of sea life at Aquaticus, 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
3. The Great EscApe Tour reveals what’s especially great about our apes at the Great EscApe habitat, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
4. The Oklahoma Trails Tour explores the native wild life of the Sooner state at Oklahoma Trails, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

To book your walking tour, visit the Zoo’s Guest Services office or purchase your experience at the front ticketing office when you arrive. Either way, our Zoo ambassadors are excited to meet you and get your wild Walking Tour underway!
Next, Prepare for a Wild Experience!
During the tours, your Zoo ambassador will escort you through your chosen animal area while you learn oodles of fun facts about various animal species and gain a unique perspective into the workings of the Zoo.
Secret Treasure Tour
On the Secret Treasure Tour, you’ll will discover the wild treasures inside the pachyderm, Island Life and Herpetarium habitats alongside new friends. Learn fascinating facts about the animals you encounter. Topics will include Henry the sloth’s secret ability, the age of our four eldest Galapagos tortoises, Komodo dragon hunting behaviors, the unique qualities of the Iberian ribbed newt and much more.
Meeting Location: Across from the Judy Memorial Garden near the pachyderm building.
Dive into fun as you venture through the wondrous waters of the Zoo’s Aquaticus building when enjoying the Aquatics Tour! This tour takes guests along the Zoo’s lakeside habitats and into the Aquaticus Center. You’ll learn all about the lakeside animals, including Red pandas (as weather permits), meerkats and anteaters, as well as the aquatic animals, including sea lions, piranhas, clownfish and many more.
Meeting Location: Condor habitat near the Zoo’s Herpetarium habitat
Great EscApe Tour
You’ll go bananas for the magnificent apes that call Great EscApe home all throughout the Zoo’s Great EscApe Walking Tour! Topics of discussion include gorilla family dynamics, Elok the orangutan’s favorite behavior, fun facts, bachelor troops versus family troops, and more. This tour should last approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on the activity and location of the apes.

The Oklahoma Trails Tour
Unleash the “Okie” within as you learn all about the wildlife of Oklahoma past and present during the last tour of the day! Take a guided stroll through Oklahoma’s history, while hearing all about the state’s wide variety of cool creatures, including bobcats, nocturnal animals, bears, native reptiles and fish, alligators, and bison, our national mammal! Witness the beauty of the native plant species and scenic boardwalks, too.
