OKC ZOO EDUCATION DEPARTMENT HOSTS HIRING EVENT THURSDAY, MARCH 29

Put your love for wildlife and wild places to work at the OKC Zoo! The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden is hosting a hiring event on Thursday, March 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for job seekers interested in working for the Zoo’s education department. The Zoo is looking for bright smiles, friendly personalities and a commitment to excellence. The hiring event will be at the Zoo’s Rosser Conservation Education Center, east end of the parking lot, 2000 Remington Place, Oklahoma City. Zoo representatives will be on site to provide employment information and conduct screening interviews.
The Zoo is looking for quality candidates, who are energetic, dependable, customer-service oriented, professional and dedicated to making a difference to fill the following part-time positions:
- Camp Lead Teacher – requires the ability to teach animal-themed programs and manage children in a camp setting, work with camp assistants and complete associated preparatory and clean-up work.
- Camp Assistant – requires the ability to monitor and engage children in a camp setting, assist the camp instructor and complete associated preparatory and clean-up work.
- Education Instructor – requires the ability to teach animal-themed programs and manage students in a variety of settings, including indoor and outdoor programs at the zoo and off-site.
- Overnight Host – requires the ability to teach animal-themed programs and manage participants during an overnight, which includes a night hike outdoors.
All part-time jobs require weekend, evening and holiday availability, and the ability to work outside. Starting pay is $8 to $10 per hour. The Zoo offers employee training and an ideal working environment.
