OKC ZOO HOSTS HIRING EVENT FOR VARIETY OF SPRING/SUMMER PART-TIME POSITIONS

Is the adventurer in you looking for something new? Discover a job at the OKC Zoo! Oklahoma’s premier cultural attraction, the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden, is hosting a hiring event on Thursday, February 21 to fulfill dozens of diverse part-time positions for the 2019 Spring and Summer seasons. The hiring event will be held in the OKC Zoo’s Rosser Conservation Education Center located at the east end of the Zoo’s parking lot from 5:30–8:30 p.m. Interested applicants, 16 and older, are encouraged to attend the event to learn more about what being a part of the Zoo crew entails and apply in-person for the position.

The OKC Zoo is looking for talented individuals who are dependable, energetic, professional and customer-service oriented to join its work family as Brand Ambassadors, Summer Camp Instructors, Dining Room Attendants, Cooks and more. Vital to the day-to-day operations of the Zoo, Brand Ambassadors perform a variety of skilled tasks including ticket sales, entry/exit greeters, supervising rides and attractions, as well as overseeing guest encounters with wildlife. Camp instructors provide our campers with a fun and safe zoo experience that helps connect them to wildlife and wild places.

Brand Ambassadors are representatives of the OKC Zoo’s promise to connect guests with wildlife and wild places in meaningful ways. Brand Ambassadors have an immense influence on how the OKC Zoo is experienced and remembered by more than a million annual visitors. All part-time jobs require weekend, evening and holiday availability, and the ability to work outside. Starting pay varies by position. The Zoo offers employee training and a positive and impactful work environment for all.

Located at the crossroads of I-44 and I-35, the OKC Zoo is a proud member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the American Alliance of Museums, Oklahoma City’s Adventure District and an Adventure Road partner. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Regular admission is $11 for adults and $8 for children ages 3-11 and seniors ages 65 and over.
