Wild Encounters

The Zoo’s behind-the-scenes experiences are wilder than ever! Wild Encounters enable you to get up close and personal with grizzly bears, flamingos, rhinos, sea lions, elephants and Galapagos tortoises. Groups up to 10 people. Each child must be accompanied by an adult and must be 6 years old or older. Tickets are based on per person basis for each encounter schedule below:

9:45 a.m. - Grizzly Bears 
departs from the swift fox habitat
$50/member, $61/nonmember, $69/nonmember+admission

10:30 a.m. - Flamingos 
departs from the Herpetarium sign with the Snake
$30/member, $41/nonmember, $49/nonmember+admission

11:15 a.m. - Rhinos
departs from the Sanctuary Asia elephant pavilion entrance

1:15 p.m. - Galapagos Tortoises
departs from tortoise statue outside Island Life

2:45 p.m. - Elephants 
departs from the Sanctuary Asia elephant pavilion entrance

3:30 p.m. - Sea Lions

VIP Safari Tour

Take the ultimate private, exclusive adventure through the Oklahoma City Zoo with an Ultimate VIP Experience. Imagine a personal tour guide in a private safari cart plus access to all rides, attractions, animal feedings, and all Wild Encounters (based on availability and weather-permitting)! Now, turn that dream into an experience of a lifetime. Ultimate VIP Experiences are offered daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (with a 45-minute lunch break). Rides & Experiences

Adventurers of all ages can discover a variety of exciting activities throughout the Zoo's grounds. 
All rides and experiences are weather-permitting.

Elephant Express Tram

Embark and disembark at four different locations in the Zoo!
Daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  
Cost: $6 per person. Children two and under are free with paying adult.

Giraffe Feeding Platform

Come face-to-face with our gentle giants–Ellie, Julu and Demetri!
Daily at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. 
Cost: $5 per person.

Sea Lion Presentations

Get ready for a splash of fun. Sea lion presentations provide “fin”tastic fun for all ages!
Daily at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Sea Lion Presentation Stadium.
Cost: $4 per person. Children two and under are free.

Stingray Bay

Catch the wave for a “touching” experience at Stingray Bay.
Daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Cost: $3 per person. Children two and under are free.

Centennial Choo Choo

All aboard this 1863 replica train!
Daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 
Cost: $3 per person. Children two and under are free.

Endangered Species Carousel

A handcrafted, one-of-a-kind carousel made from basswood and displays 42 endangered animals.
Daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cost: $3 per person.

Explorikeet Adventure

Flock to the fun! Guests have the unique opportunity to feed and interact with our colorful lorikeets.
Daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
(closed for "bird break" from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.)
Cost: Free to enter - $3 per person to feed.

Children's Zoo Barnyard

Go wild for this spacious oasis where little ones can connect with animals and nature.
Daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Cost: Free

Come meet our Asian elephants at Sanctuary Asia!
Daily at 2 p.m.

Connect with our animal experts and learn about the animals they care for each day.
These 15-minute daily presentations are FREE and occur DAILY!

ZooZeum

The only museum of its kind in the country, the Patricia and Byron J. Gambulos ZooZeum, a historic 1935 Works Projects Administration building.
