Visit the Oklahoma City Zoo on Sunday, August 12, for World Elephant Day presented by Bob Moore Subaru, and join the herd as we come together for elephants.
Asian and African elephants are facing numerous threats in the wild and this global event brings attention to how we can help conserve and protect these beloved animals. Enjoy a day of fun and learning with activities planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Information displays, conservation education games, crafts and other activities will be on-site at the OKC Zoo’s elephant habitat.
Lancer Hospitality, the OKC Zoo’s food and beverage partner, is providing free ice cream to those in attendance, while supplies last. Breyers, the ice cream producer, uses sustainable palm oil practices in their manufacturing process, protecting critical wildlife and wild places. Guests will also have the opportunity to share their World Elephant Day memories on social media with a digital photobooth courtesy of Bob Moore Subaru. Snapchat fans will love the custom elephant filters sponsored by Bob Moore Subaru available at the Zoo on Sunday, August 12.
Bob Moore Subaru will be kicking off the celebration with a Selfie Saturday Pre-Celebration for World Elephant Day on Saturday, August 11 at their dealership. They will give away a pair of Zoo admission tickets to the first ten test drives who take a World Elephant Day selfie with the Bob Moore Subaru Selfie Station. World Elephant Day activities are free with regular Zoo admission. For more information, call (405) 425-0262.
