As the cooler fall and winter seasons arrive, the Oklahoma City Zoo announces modified hours of operation for some attractions and amenities. The Zoo remains open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed only for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 22, and Christmas Day on Tuesday, December 25. Some offerings listed below may be unavailable if temperatures drop below an acceptable level for animals or if other inclement weather conditions develop.
The Elephant Express tram begins operation at 10 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.
The Centennial Choo Choo Train is available to guests Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Elephant presentations at Sanctuary Asia’s Elephant Pavilion are daily at 2 p.m.
The Children’s Zoo Barn is open daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Explorikeet Lorikeet habitat in Children’s Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Wallaby Walkabout in Children’s Zoo is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Giraffe feedings are now offered on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Stingray Bay is open daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Endangered Species Carousel is open daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Canopy and Lotus Pavilion at Sanctuary Asia open daily at 10 a.m.
The Safari Café in the entry plaza is open daily at 9 a.m.
The Safari Gift Shop in the entry plaza is open daily at 10 a.m.
Other food locations and souvenir/gift shops are closed for the season.
The Zoo’s seasonal hours end and traditional hours resume on Friday, March 1.
