We have new dates with more time for you to Haunt the Zoo! The Oklahoma City Zoo is gearing up for its 34th annual Haunt the Zoo, presented by Kohl’s Cares and the Children’s Hospital Volunteers, a staple in Oklahoma’s Halloween events. This year there’s a new way to boo as Haunt the Zoo becomes a daytime event! That’s right, in order to accommodate the growing number of guests, this year’s Haunt the Zoo will take place during the day over the course of two weekends: Saturday/Sunday, October 21-22 and Saturday/Sunday, October 28-29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Haunt the Zoo goers can explore the trick-or-treat trail and the Zoo at their own pace while collecting candy from festive volunteers at 25 family-friendly themed booths. It’s a Halloween adventure like no other! Event goers are encouraged to wear costumes (adults, too), but nothing too scary.
In addition to general admission, guests can purchase Trick-or-Treat bags for $7 per person, or $6 for ZOOfriends members. The Zoo will also offer Boo-It-All passes (all of the Zoo-it-All benefits plus trick-or-treating) priced at $29 for children/seniors, $33 for adults, or $22 for ZOOfriends’ members. In addition to festive trick-or-treat trail, the Centennial Choo Choo will be transformed into a ghoulish Ghost Train which guests can ride for $3. Haunt the Zoo tickets are required for all guests, age 2 and up, and will be available beginning October 2 online at www.okczoo.org.
Interested in volunteering to help with Haunt the Zoo? We welcome enthusiastic volunteers as young as 8 years old (with an adult chaperone) to assist with this event. To learn more, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
