Family Programs 2018

The Oklahoma City Zoo's family-based education programs offer a wonderful way for the whole family to have fun while exploring and learning together!

Friday, Feb 23, 7pm to Saturday, Feb 24 at 9am

Nighttime at the zoo can be beary interesting. Make a bear craft, use your bear senses during a guided night tour, and enjoy an evening snack that is "just right". Bring bedding that is "just right" for sleeping in the Big Rivers building --- next to the bear exhibit! Morning includes a light breakfast. Ages: 4 and up (parent must accompany child). Cost: $35/child, $20/adult.

 

St. Patrick's Day: Zoo Style!

Saturday, Mar 17, 10am to 11:30am

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day at the zoo! Enjoy a scavenger hunt as we find animals that are green, practice being green, and develop a green thumb. Ages: 4 and up. Cost: $12 (member), $15 (non-member).

 

Wildlife Trackers

Saturday, April 7, 10am to 11:30am

Sharpen your investigative skills with animal tracks and clues. Put your skills to the test as we solve animal mysteries in the zoo. Make and take home your own set of tracks. Ages: 4 and up. Cost: $12 (member), $15 (non-member).

 

Gentle Giraffes

Saturday, May 19 10am to 11am

They are head and shoulders above the rest. Can you spot what makes our giraffes so special? Ages: 4 and up. Cost: $12 (member), $15 (non-member).

 

Bugs and Blooms Family Overnight

Saturday, June 9 7pm to 9am

Discover how bugs help plants grow, even at night! Explore the exciting world of pollination at the zoo as we look for insects with black lights and conduct a moth lighting experiment! In the morning, we'll hike to the butterfly garden to chat with an expert from our horticulture staff. Evening snack, light breakfast, and zoo admission the following day included. $35/child, $20/parent. Ages 4 and up, parent must accompany child(ren).

 


Cub Club (Toddler Programs)

Bring your little cub as we learn about zoo animals through lessons, crafts, discovery stations, and/or guided zoo tours. Ages 2-5 years. Cost per child/adult pair: $12 (member), $15 (non-member).
